As the moon fades out to morning,
I wake up vulnerable but unsuspecting.
Into static realities I delve,
Painstakingly dealing with myself.
Then I hope for a day anew,
Seeking serenity with my thoughts of you.
My innermost feelings with no glimpse of despair
Just like the clouds drifting on air.
Then like the sun in the sky,
I see you as you pass me by.
I feel the warmth from its rays, I’m helpless.
How am I able to love you less?
Then the moon appears, it’s shining
Just like how I see youdespite of the evening.
As I sleep, I think about you, my everything.
Then again the moon fades out to morning.
Some people ask me why this poem is entitled THEN. Well it’s because I don’t really know if something new is going to happen. You wake up, deal with the same things as yesterday, sleep it off, and THEN what? You do it all over again until it becomes a routine and you won’t notice it anymore.
